Scholarships

  The Legacy Foundation for Women offers scholarships for students according to criteria chosen by its selection committee.  Awards or scholarships are a one-time offers for minority students that plan to major in the areas of Medical, Education, Business, Liberal Arts, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Religion Studies, and Journalism.  Applicants are selected by the selections committee and awarded a scholarship for the upcoming semester. Scholarships can be acquired through applications. The application process begins January 1st of each year. All recipients will be awarded by the Legacy Foundation during a Scholars Award Reception.   

-  -Have a high school GPA of at least 3.0. 

-Graduating High School Seniors 

-Eligible High Schools: All Local High School

-Minority Females

-Must have an Acceptance Letter to a college for the Fall Semester.

-Must attend a Four-Year University

-Minimum Two-Page Essay

-Completed Legacy Scholarship Application

- Must plan to major in the areas of  Medical Science, Education, Business, Liberal Arts, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Religion Studies, or Journalism. 

-Application, Essay, copy of acceptance letter, and community service hours must be mailed to P.O. Box 30221 Winston-Salem, NC 27130

-Application Acceptance begins Jan 1st

-Deadline for Application--April 12th
